Alves Primary Parent Council & PTA

PARENT COUNCIL

Alves Primary School has an elected Parent Council whose role is primarily to improve and foster relations between parents and the school.

The Parent Council is part of the Alves Primary Parent Forum, the overarching group to which all Alves Primary parents belong.

The Parent Council meets every three months to discuss educational issues, equipment and buildings, and any other general school related subjects. Council members do not have access to any personal information regarding individual children or families related to the school, and all disciplinary matters are dealt with by the head teacher and Moray Council Educational Services department.

Parents, guardians and members of the local community are welcome to attend the meetings.

PARENT TEACHERS ASSOCIATION (PTA)

The PTA is a fund-raising sub-group of the Parent Forum and each year provides hundreds of pounds of extra-curricula financial support to the school.

The current PTA members are:
